4 жовтня центральна бібліотека для дітей приймала учасників Всеукраїнської науково-практичної конференції «Дитячі бібліотеки як культурно-інформаційні центри у процесі формування особистості дитини» на чолі з представником Міністерства культури України М.Г.Височанською та генеральним директорм Національної бібліотеки України для дітей, Героєм України А.С.Кобзаренко. На зібранні були присутні С.С.Дьячук, в.о. заступника міського голови з питань діяльності виконавчих органів ради, Н.М.Чорна, в.о. начальника відділу кудьтури і туризму Кіровоградської міської ради. З вітальним словом від імені громадськості та письменників міста виступила О.В.Надутенко, голова обласної спілки підприємців України.
Т.Г.Ушацька, заступник директора ЦБС з питань обслуговування дітей, познайомила присутніх з досвідом рекламно-іміджевої діяльності бібліотек, що обслуговують дитяче населення. Презентація мала назву «Імідж бібліотеки як фактор її розвитку».
В ході екскурсії по бібліотеці, директори обласних бібліотек України для дітей та бібліотекарі центральної бібліотеки для дітей обмінювалися цікавим досвідом використання традиційних та інноваційних форм бібліотечної роботи з дітьми.
